In her free time, Kayleigh enjoys being active. Her greatest passion is soccer. She has been playing for SC Welberg Women’s 1 for many years. In addition to playing soccer, she especially enjoys the camaraderie within the team. Training together, playing games, and chatting afterward make it extra fun for her.

Levi van Drongelen

Levi is 21 years old and lives in village Moerdijk. She studies Social Work at Da Vinci College in Dordrecht and this school year she will start year 2. She hopes to learn how to support young people, how to connect with their interests and how to organize fun and meaningful activities together with the team. She would like to learn how you can really make a difference in youth work, whether it is just by having a chat or organizing something together in a neighborhood or village.

  • Thursday TUNE - meer Moerdijk
  • Friday TUNE - meer Moerdijk

Zoe

This year, 17-year-old Zoë from class Fijnaart is doing an internship with classes Meer and Moerdijk. She is in her second year of the Social Work program in Breda. In addition to her studies, Zoë has been working in elder care at a nursing home in her village since this summer. Working with people and making a difference in others’ lives is exactly what suits her.

In her free time, Zoë likes to get creative. For example, she writes her own books just for fun. Though it doesn’t always go very quickly: after three years, she now has three book ideas, but none of these books has gotten past chapter one. She also loves to read, watches a lot of movies—so many that her parents often call her a real ‘movie catalog’—and enjoys spending time in the kitchen. Her favorite dishes to make are spaghetti and butter chicken with homemade naan.

Zoë also finds it interesting to discover different cultures and have new experiences. That’s why this summer she wants to go on her first independent trip as part of a group tour. She just needs to figure out where she’s going!

Zoë believes it’s important for young people to feel heard, seen, and accepted. From her own experiences, she knows what it’s like to feel different or insecure. That’s why she thinks it’s important for young people to have a say and be involved in decisions about issues that affect them.

Zoe's internship days:

  • Wednesday TUNE – meer Moerdijk
  • Friday TUNE - meer Moerdijk
